POLKA DOTS

Some people may thought polka dots is intimidating as it may make a person look more mature but I think polka dots can be sweet and feminine or even chic/ edgy if you match it correctly. I actually did a little modification on the top. The original top had lace trim at the sleeves which I think it's unnecessary (yes, it does make a person look more mature in this case) so I decided to remove it and yes, it turned out to be just perfect. 

Here, I wanted to have a more feminine and office appropriate look here so I'm matching it with a pair of culottes. I'm keeping the color tone all neutral here and let the polka dots top be the center piece. I'm thinking of ripped jeans or straight ankle jeans to pair with next. I think it will have that chic/ edgy vibe.

TIERS OF PINK

Having this fun number today. I like the 3 tiers pattern and how the color slowly tone down from top to bottom. Despite this is a flare top, I decided to take a bit of risk matching it with a pair of off white culottes. Flare top and flare bottoms combination could be disastrous sometimes but I would like to have that continuation of ombre effect (yes, I don't have much white bottom and this is my only choice). Well, it turn out to be pretty ok for me. Never try never know =).

LOOSE YET PREPPY

Hi everyone. Yes, this is yet another comfortable outfit. I basically like everything in this outlook, the color, the loose lines, and the comfortableness. I can just stay in this all day long. Matching loose top and loose bottoms can be risky and tricky sometimes as it may makes you look slouchy but this top and culottes combo just turn out to be perfectly fine. I tucked in the front part of the top (just a bit, not too much) to show a little bit of waist line and left the side and back out to have the relax vibe. And, I keep all the colors neutral to create that soft, clean, and crisp look.  

I always feel a nice pair of culottes is a wardrobe staple especially those in neutral color. You could dress up or dress down, from office to weekend casual, depending on the top that you match with. I had been wearing this culottes so many times that I lost count and I am even considering to get another pair, just in case this reach it's full life span of wear and tear.

STRIPES CULOTTES ON REPEAT

Comfortable and versatile. This had been my choice of buying clothes recently as I think it could create different types of outlook and make the money spent more worthwhile. Agree? 😊

This pair of culottes had been on rotation for many times recently. I wear it so many times as it is very comfortable and versatile. I had styled it with 3 different tops in a few weeks time and all turned out well. Depending on the top and shoes, this culottes can be suitable for smart-casual office wear or even weekend casual wear. I've wore it to office like the one I'm wearing now and also wore it in a short holiday trip to Sarawak. You can see it here. For the outfit I'm wearing today, I've styled it with a grey turtleneck top and a pair of pink pumps. The pink pumps has the some hue with the stripes on the culottes and I find it kind of fun. How many times you can get the same hue from different items that bought at a different time. I mean, what are the odds? 😊

MONOCHROME - NAVY BLUE EVERYTHING

Hi everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed to the fullest during this festive season. Mine was pretty nice. =) 

It had been a while that I had this idea of wearing all navy blue but I didn't really make it happen. My initial idea was to pair this navy blue culottes with a navy blue knitted turtleneck top (with long sleeves) but our humid weather just keep stopping me from doing that (my navy blue knitted turtleneck top was very thick and it was in the wardrobe for the longest time). Then, I bought a navy blue t-shirt recently (due to event color theme) and finally here it is, an all navy blue look. I think it turned out quite ok but I still feel the navy blue knitted turtleneck top that stayed comfortable in my wardrobe would be a better option and it would turn out to be quite chic and sophisticated. Well, with the weather that we have, this will do for now.
