THE STRIPED SHIFT DRESS

I am basically thinking of vacation when I dress-up in this dress. Lace-up sandals, dangling earrings and a pop of red for the bag, it is just so perfect for a vacation at somewhere sunny or tropical. I like the crisp white color of this dress and the black stripes on it, so contrast and yet chic. 

Putting vacation aside, this dress could actually be office appropriate. Switch the lace-tie ribbon with a belt and match with a pair of pumps and the whole outlook will be so different. It could be so preppy. Perhaps I could show you in another blog post. =)

RUFFLES + MONOCHROMATIC

Another day, another monochromatic moment. I was really into this monochromatic vibe recently, all white or all blue, or all grey. I think it's something fun to do and it also put you all together to look preppy and chic. 

I would also like to mention about the top. I like the asymmetrical ruffles. It add a bit of fun to the top and make it more interesting. I find it very easy to match either with trousers, jeans,  or denim shorts, depending on whether you want to dress up or dress down, office appropriate or weekend casual.

THE TROUSERS THAT MAKE YOU LOOK TALLER

When skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, mum jeans, girlfriend jeans, and culottes are pretty on trend now, let's not forget about wide-leg trousers. Wide-leg trousers had been in the fashion line for many years and the trend had been on and off. However, in my opinion, wide-leg trousers is a timeless piece. It wouldn't be out of trend and it will stay for a long time. Also, it is mostly comfortable all the time and with the correct length, it will create that elongate effect that make a person look taller. 

I am glad that I bought this pair of trousers. I like the linen material and the trousers length on me. It just go straight down covering my ankle and right above the floor after wearing my heels. With the high-waist cut, this had the elongate effect which is a plus point for a petite size like me. It just make me look taller than my actual height.
