PASTELS + A POP OF RED

I personally find matching pastel with pastel is kind of a good idea. It gives that soft, soothing and fresh vibe. And, I recently notice that matching pastel with bold color is kind of fun too and it creates another whole different vibe.

Here, I'm matching lilac and light blue that is so soft but I wanted something strong at the same time. Hence, the red shawl. It creates a different vibe and the whole outlook is bold, strong and feminine at the same time.

COLOR BLOCKING AND STAYING COMFORTABLE

Hi everyone. I had been opting for more comfortable outfit lately I would confidently say that this is the most comfortable combo I had this far. A loose light knit top and a pair of culottes. It is just so comfortable and yet not slouchy. Everything just fall at the right place. I'm also playing with colors, combining two bright tones. I'm matching this blue top with a pair of yellow loafers, white culottes and black handbag to keep other items neutral.

I'll need to mention about the top. It is from the collaboration series of Uniqlo and JW Anderson. The material is so soft and comfortable. It is just nice for our humid weather, not too hot and just nice for air-conditioned environment/ colder days. I wanted to get another piece in off-white color but it was all sold out. I guess I'll need to pay more attention on collaboration series in Uniqlo moving forward, especially when there is sales going on. Uniqlo had really step up and bring their game to another level. Their stuffs are getting better and trendier and yet maintaining their comfortable, relax, cozy concept.

PLAID BLAZER

Happy 2018 everyone. Hope you had a good holiday. I finally laid my hands on a plaid blazer. I was scouting around for a quite some time and came across this at H&M. And, it was on sales! Yeah! Blazer, checked. Plaid, checked. Price point, checked. Straight to the cashier!

Fashion had changed over these years. Blazers no longer belong to the executive world. You do not need to be working in an executive firm to wear a blazer. Blazer could be smart casual and even suitable for street wear. All you need is just a little bit of mix and match. Throw away the formal dress code concept and pair your blazer with a pair of jeans. Loafers, sneakers or heels will be up to your preference. That's it, easy-peasy.

MONOCHROME - NAVY BLUE EVERYTHING

Hi everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed to the fullest during this festive season. Mine was pretty nice. =)

It had been a while that I had this idea of wearing all navy blue but I didn't really make it happen. My initial idea was to pair this navy blue culottes with a navy blue knitted turtleneck top (with long sleeves) but our humid weather just keep stopping me from doing that (my navy blue knitted turtleneck top was very thick and it was in the wardrobe for the longest time). Then, I bought a navy blue t-shirt recently (due to event color theme) and finally here it is, an all navy blue look. I think it turned out quite ok but I still feel the navy blue knitted turtleneck top that stayed comfortable in my wardrobe would be a better option and it would turn out to be quite chic and sophisticated. Well, with the weather that we have, this will do for now.
